Business Strategy

I work as a planner/digital strategist for one of Ireland’s foremost ad agencies, Target McConnells. This involves understanding and deciphering consumer behaviour and framing insights for brands based on this knowledge. I’ve worked with many large and small brands, including startups on digital strategy, social strategy and branding, including Vodafone, Samsung, GAA, Paddy Power and many more.

Sponsorship

I’ve worked on some of the largest sponsorship activations in Ireland, including international sports sponsorships, music, comedy and festivals. I was named as a ‘Sport For Business Young Leader 2016’. I was also part of a team that won ‘Irish Sponsorship of the Year’ and ‘Best Integrated Sponsorship’ for Vodafone Centre Stage in 2015.

Digital Strategy

I’ve managed communities from 1,000 to 150,000 people in size, developed content plans & digital strategies across various sectors and created campaigns for some of Ireland’s largest brands. This work has led to three Social Media Ireland awards and 10 nominations. I deliver digital strategy training, offer freelance services and lecture on the subject in the Digital Marketing Institute.

Journalism & Media

I hold a Diploma In Sport & Broadcast Journalism and regularly write freelance sport, tech and marketing pieces for outlets like Irish Times Group, Sunday Business Post, Irish Independent, Digital Times, Sociable, Brand Republic, TheJournal.ie and Balls.ie. I’m fascinated with the changing media landscape and have consulted for media brands on this subject.

Branding

As an ad. planner, understanding branding and brand tone of voice is crucial. Again, I’ve worked with numerous startups in the area of creating a tone of voice and brand dynamics and have extensive experience working with large clients in this area. I’ve also worked with numerous FMCG brands, including Knorr, Britvic and McCain to tailor their communications for the Irish market.

Technical/Design

I have taught myself intermediate HTML and CSS skills, including photoshop and landing page creation. I am also very familiar and comfortable with most CMS management systems, including WordPress, Drupal, Joomla and personalised systems.
